Show and Tell 2020
9 - September
9 - September
16 members met for the first time in nearly 6 months on 1 September 2020.
Kate has finished the Ark, it’s 26” long.
Jackie Nevill made this lovely quilt. The photo does not show the shades of pink that contrast so well with the red. This quilt has been to Rwanda where it stayed unfinished in a ufo (packing) box until Jackie came back to uk. She finished it this year. Jackie Nevill made this striking quilt by foundation piecing the blocks. It was a challenge from a friend to make a block a week during lockdown only using fabric from her stash. The quilt will be given to a child by the Linus Charity.
Gill Davies used up a lot of her spare yarn crocheting this gorgeous blanket for her daughter who loves it

Beverley made her lovely Bee quilt using hexagons in bee patterned fabric
Gill started making the squares some years ago using some Aran wool she had left over from making a cardigan. She used dk, Aran and chunky whatever she could find, when there wasn’t enough wool for a whole square made half or quarter squares to make a whole. Gill thinks it is about big enough now.
Jackie Cleveland has crocheted this baby blanket just in time for her goddaughter who expects her baby in November. She also crocheted the rabbit in chinchilla wool, which was very brave as it is notoriously difficult to work with, but did a great job. Jackie has only been crocheting for a few months and is really enjoying it.
Jenny made this cushion for a Lloyd Loom chair belonging to her son’s mother-in-law
Chris Morris knitted this hat using natural coloured yarn she spun herself from Shetland sheep
A closeup of Gill’s blanket showing the many different patterned squares.
Davina made this beautifully unique basket using the coiled pot method.
